West Michigan Flute Association

The following is our current attendance policy for

WMFA Chamber Choir and Flute Orchestra.
Your attendance is essential to the well being

and performance level of both groups.
Your cooperation is required and appreciated by all members.

Definitions
Excused Absence - An absence you indicated in advance

on your Commitment Form
Unexcused Absence - An absence not indicated in advance

on your Commitment Form, such as an illness or family emergency.

Chamber Choir
Each member is allowed one (1) excused absence.
It is mandatory that you make arrangements for a substitute from
the approved list for your excused absence.
(See Darlene for the approved list of players.)

A second absence (unexcused) will be brought before the WMFA Board.
The board will decide if you will continue to play in Chamber Choir
(depending on the circumstance and timeliness of the situation)
or if one of the approved substitutes will replace you

for the remainder of the season.

Flute Orchestra
Each member will be allowed one (1) excused absence.
A second absence (unexcused) will be brought
before the WFMA Board to determine if you will be allowed
to continue through the season.

When you sign your Commitment Form,

please consider the above very carefully.

These guidelines have been adopted by the WMFA Board

and will be enforced.
